Here I sit waiting..........

Well we bought a new mattress on Saturday and it's suppose to be delivered tonight between 6 and 9. It's 7:46 and they haven't come yet:( I'm patiently waiting and waiting. I'm ready for it NOW!!

LOL! I'm sorry I'm so mean! I went to work today to find out that the office flooded again over the weekend! You know they spent $250 getting it cleaned from the last time. I would think that you would fix the problem instead of letting it happen over and over again, and on top of it shelling out 250 bucks each time! Men!

Happy April Fools!

Well today is April the first! I can't believe that it's April already! The year is flying by. It's been icky weather here so I"m hoping for a nice day today. I think we are going to the movies to tsee the Last King of Scotland today. I'll let ya know if I like it!

They did get the duck pond sucked out the other day at a cost of $249.99! Well it rained really hard here yesterday so I'm sure it's a duck pond again. The people there are so stupid. I would think that you should fix the problem so you don't have to keep paying 250 bucks every time it rains! It's run by men so they are clueless! LOL!

Here I sit at work

Well here I am sitting at work and chatting on the STamp-shack. The office was flooded again last night, so it smells horrible. These people up here are stupid! They know if it rains it's going to flood but won't fix the problem. I told them they should just pull all the carpet out so they don't have to worry about it so much. I'm the one that has to sit here and smell it! YUCK! There is even mold growing now. At least it's only for 4 hrs. a day. My day is almost done here then I'm off to home to play! I can't wait to leave this duck pond! LOL! That's what I feel like. A duck in a pond. Oh well! Hope everyone is having a wonderful day!

New card

Well I decided to try a new technique. It's the cracked glass technique. It's really easy and pretty fun to do. FIrst you must put embossing ink all over your image then clear embossing powder. Next you heat the embossing powder. Repeat the steps about 7 times. Then stick it in the freezer for about 15-20 mins. and when you remove it bend your image back and forth to make it crack. Then I took a cotton ball and dabbed it in ink and ran it over the image, then wipped the excess of with a clean cloth. Very easy and fun! You better go try it now!

Hi all!!

Well it's been nice having this week off. It's fun to do what I want when I want!! LOL! I have to do yard work this weekend and go shopping for a new mattress. I can't wait to have my flower beds in shape! I love looking at pretty flowers. I do hope to squeeze in some cards this weekend. I did make one today, it was the first playing I've done in over a week. It was nice being in there! I hope to do it again soon.

I'm back!!

Hi!! I just got home last night from spending a few days at my grandparents house. I had a nice time but glad to be home. My grandmother is doing very well after surgery. You wouldn't know she had a kidney removed! I feel much better now that I've seen her and know she is ok. I went around town with them and they showed me an eagle's nest! I had never seen one so it was really cool. Their nests are so huge!! There were 3 eagles in it too! Apparently they come back every year. I didn't even know we had eagle's in Texas! Other then that we didn't do much. I worked in the yard for her and did some housework. I had a nice time visiting.

I'm ready to get back in the swing of things. I need to catch up on some housework and laundry. Then maybe I can go and play some in my craft room!!

I'm sorry

Well I have realized that I'm not very good with keeping up with this blog. I've made cards and deleted them before I posted them here. I also forget to come and chat. I think about it everyday but it's usually when I'm busy doing something else then I forget. I'm sorry if you come here and find the same old post from days ago. I promise to try harder. I will be gone next week. I'm going to help my grandmother out. She just had surgery to remove her kidney and needs help with the stuff around the house. I promise to try to come in at least once to let you know how it's going.

Other then forgetting to keep this blog up I haven't been up to much. Just working, crafting and cleaning house. I lead such a boring life:(. I use to think that it would be easy to figure out things to talk about on here. I now realize it's not that easy when you don't do much! Oh well, if I lead a more exciting life then I'd NEVER get to come here and bore you too!! LOL!! Well until next time.......

Whoo Hoo!! Today is a rain day at work so I got to come home. I was there only 15 mins. and they told me to go home that they were shutting down for the day! It's suppose to rain tomorrow too so maybe I'll get another one! Keeping my fingers crossed!

More cards added!

OK I just finished a couple of cards and decided to share them. I got some awesome dollar stamps and have been playing!! It's fun to get new stuff, it sure helped to spark some creativity in me! I hope to make more to share in the next couple of days.

Here I am at work. I've been here 42 mins. and I've done everything already. This really makes for a long 4 hours. I'm chatting online so that helps some. I also brought my bills to pay. I might as well get paid for an undesirable chore!! LOL! I hope that my day goes by fast. I also hope that you all have a great day!

Ok I finally got off my lazy butt and added some pictures. I've added pictures of my family and a couple of my cards. I need to take more pics of my cards, which I promise to do, just not now!!

Well it's Monday. The weekend went by entirely to fast. I got some new glasses and shoes!! Went to the park a couple of times and spent time outdoors. I brought my flashcard from my computer to upload some new pics but the computer here at work won't take it! I'll try at home later. I hope you all have a great Monday!!

Whoo Hoo it's Wednesday! I don't know why that should be exciting for me! LOL! I'm going to take some images to color at work today. That should make my time go by faster. I need to post some cards here too. I know it says I must stamp so I better get off my butt and show you that I really do! Maybe later after work I'll post some new cards for your viewing pleasure!! Week two

Well today was the first day of week two. It was so slow again today. I think the phone rang only 5 times in my 4 hours.:( I took a book today and read some, and played free cell some. I need something to do to occupy my time while I'm there. I wanted to ask if I could read but the boss didn't come in so I just did it. I will ask tomorrow I guess. I hope it's ok. Otherwise my day will really be long.

My weekend went by entirely to fast. I shopped on Saturday and Sunday did yard work and washed the vechiles. It was so pretty outside. I wish I could go camping, it's been so nice out that it's perfect weather for that!!! Until next time....

New job update

This will be my third day on the job. They still haven't showed me anything. All I've done so far is answer the phone and take messages, filing and some cleaning. They are very unorganized up there. I know he wants to teach me quickbooks but hasn't yet. He is never there. I'm alone for most of time and it's VERY boring. I think today I will take a book and read some. I don't know what else to do. The phone only rings a few times an hour. I hope they teach me some more stuff so that my time goes by faster.
I'm still trying to get use to the institution of work. It's hard from going to doing what I want when I want to having to be somewhere everyday between this time and this time. I think it will take me a couple of weeks to get the hang of it. At least it's only part-time. I like that part of it!! More updates to come.........................

First day at new job

Whaa, whaa, whaa! I don't won't to go to work. Today is the first day of a new job. I haven't worked in 6 years so I'm not looking forward to it. It's a job working with my brother and I don't always get along with him. I hope all goes well and that I don't totally mess up today. I'm sooo nervous. Stay tuned, I'll let ya know how it goes.

Well, well, well it's Friday! It's been a long week. My ice cream cake turned out very tasty and I got some beautiful red roses for Valentines Day. We are to go to dinner this weekend. I managed to get a few cards done this week but not enough. I wrote down all the swaps I'm hosting and all the swaps I'm in. I realized I'm behind!! I have 2 due in 2 weeks and I have 8 all together. That's alot of work so I had better get busy today! I have some errands to run too so I'll keep this short. We woke up to 27 degrees outside. There is a little layer of ice on everything! I love waking up to cold weather!!! I must be crazy!

Happy Valentines Day everyone!!

Today is my 13th year anniversary with my dbf! He brought me home a dozen red roses yesterday. I made him a cute card. It's not my original idea, I got permission from Heather to copy it and to post it. I changed the color of the tux. I hope he likes it. I also made him a ice cream cake. It was very easy, I can't wait to try it!!! That's the plus of making goodies for him, he shares!

I'm feeling some better but my throat still hurts and it's still all swollen in the back. I'm going to play in my craft room today so I'm sure that will make me feel better!!! Hope you all have a wonderful day filled with love!!!

It's Monday!! Hope everyone has a great day today! I've got a sore throat this morning(again). I woke up on Saturday with one and felt icky all day. Yesterday it was some better but this morning it hurts again. I hate sore throats. I hope it isn't going to turn into anything else.

Wednesday will be me and my boyfriend's 13th year anniversary. I still have to make him a card. I haven't made anything in days. I need to get in the grove of things. I'll go and try to make an anniversary card this afternoon. I"m planning on making him a ice cream cake on Wednesday. I've never made one so I hope it turns out OK. I'll be sure to let you know!!

I'm off now to go back to bed! Maybe when I wake up again my throat will be magically better. I can only hope!

I was saddened yesterday by the news of the death of Anna Nicole Smith. I know I don't know her and I know she had a hard life but it is very sad that she died so young. I also feel so bad for her baby girl. She will have to grow up without a mom, that is going to be tough. I pray for her family and friends and that they look to God for strength and guidance in this very difficult time.

Good morning! I had a busy day yesterday. I took my dog to the dog park but he was the only one there so I played with him. Then Wal-Mart called to say my new lenses were ready and I went to pick them up. When I got there(this was my 3rd time there) they had the wrong ones. I was very upset, but was still polite. The lady went to talk to someone and came back and said they were giving me a full refund and FREE lenses!! WOW!!! I was shocked! What a great deal, but it's the least they could do since they kept messing up. I mean they were already 5 days late then I had been up there 3 times.

Anyway, I have to go and make some cards today. I have so many swaps going on that I need to get caught up. I almost done with one but now I have 3 more to finish! It a lot of work but fun!!!!

Good morning!! Today is suppose to be another great day for us weather wise!! Yesterday was so pretty and sunny. It was nice to have a sunny day for a change.

I thought I'd share a picture of a sunset I took a few months ago. It was taken from my backdoor. We haven't had good weather in a while to have sunsets like this. I thought maybe if someone else is having bad weather they can look at this picture and feel better!!

Yesterday I managed to get three cards done for a swap I'm hosting! I was so proud of myself!! Lately I've been having a creative block so it was nice to go into my craft room and have some inspiration. I'm going to work on more today. I have so many swaps I'm hosting now that I need to get busy working on my cards. I also need to finish my scrapbook from our vacation in September. I'm behind on that. With the holidays and all it's easy to get behind on things.

Well I'm off to get busy around here(or take a nap) have a great day!!

Well yesterday was the my friend's baby shower and she LOVED the booties! I"m so glad I was able to finish them on time. I worked hard on them and hoped she would like them.

Today was a busy day. I've been to Wal-Mart to get a refund on lenses I bought. They are 4 days over due and I told them I wasn't waiting any longer. They offered me a 50% discount if I would wait so I told them I would. Now I only have to pay $80!! Yippee!!!!! We also got our taxes done and washed the truck!

It has been a beautiful day today! The high was 62 and it was sunny! I"m so glad to finally see sun. It's been in hiding for about two weeks now. I took the dog for a walk to enjoy the nice day! I now feel the need for a nap!

Goodmorning!! Today is Thursday and I'm off to a busy morning. On Thrusday's I go to a elementary and help the first and second graders to read. It's very fun and the kids are always so cute. Last week I was a day off and forgot to go. I got up on Friday and was thinking it was Thrusday! I think I got it right this week!!!!

Yesterday was a busy day too. I had to go shopping for a friends babyshower. I got her lots of goodies that I hope she will be happy with. I've already made her a card and now I"m working on knitting a pair of baby booties. I need to get my rear in gear on these! I also went to Hobby Lobby and bought some paper that they had on sale. I bought two prismacolor pencils too. Everyone is always talking about how great these are and I didn't want to spend the money on them(they are expensive) and not like them. I bought a red one and a green one. I haven't used them yet but hope I like them!!!

The day before yesterday I got a call from a lady on The Stamp Shack (Sherri). I hope she doesn't mind me putting her name here. She was so sweet and very easy to talk to. It's nice to be able to put a voice to a name, it makes them real!! LOL! I know they are real but when you just post it almost seems like a ghost! Anyway I guess I've chatted here long enough.
