Altered Domino's

I found this set of domino's at the dollar store and scooped them up. I decided to make them into broaches. I spray painted the edges with gold then used ai's for the background. I then took my stazon ink pad and stamped images and then sealed it with dimensional glaze to keep it from getting scratched.

Altered mailbox

This is a mailbox I found in the Target's dollar spot. I thought it would make a cute recipe box! I just used a regular glue stick to glue the paper onto it. It seems to hold it pretty well.

Hurricane Ike survivor!!!!

Whoo-hoo!!! I made it through the storm and finally have my power, my Internet and cable back. Still waiting on phone service though. The grocery stores aren't all open and the ones that are don't have much to choose from. Gas is also hard to come by. I'm hoping things can get back to normal soon. We had minor damage and I'm so very thankful for that. There are so many people who lost so much. Lets keep everyone who got hit hard by Ike in our prayers. I'm glad to be back. I haven't crafted anything in a week so I don't have anything to post but maybe I will soon.

More altered cigar boxes

Here a couple more boxes that I have made in the past couple of days. I found that this is really the easiest with this type of box. They take about two hours to finish but I think it is worth the time. They have turned out so cute. I also made four matching cards for each of the boxes. The blue box was made using Daisy D papers and the red one was made using various brands of papers.

Collage Box

This is how the box looked to start. It is a cigar box that opens in the middle. I have about 10 of these and find them a little difficult to work with because of how they open. It's hard to cut a piece of paper to match the lid perfectly so I did the next best thing!

I did a collage box. I just took a ton of different patterned paper and tore them into pieces. I then just started to randomly glue it on. I think it turned out pretty cute. I didn't put any other decorations on it because I think it is busy enough without them.

I also made matching cards. This will be one of the items I will sell at a craft fair.

Post-it-Note holders

I have been a busy little bee today. I made all these post-it-note holders. I think they are really cute and just so easy to make. I'm always up for making something fast and cute! Some of them I cut paper and glued onto the clip. They were black and not so pretty. I think the matching paperclip gives them a little added character! Each of them have a little pen on them too. I found most of the pens in the Target dollar spot. They were eight for a buck, can't beat a good bargain like that. I originally found the pens first a few months ago and didn't know what to do with them. I just knew I needed them because they were small and cute! Then I came across this idea and on a blog and said hmmmm, I can add a little pen to them so it worked out perfectly!
