Butterfly Cigar Box

Here's another cigar box. I wanted to make it really girly. I had to add the extra flower on the top because the box has deep engraving on it and you could see it through the paper. The flower helps to hide it. I made 4 cards to go inside too.

Yellow Rose

This is a rose that is bloom on my rose bush. It's a hybrid rose and is called Patio Rose Tree-Sunsprite. It sits on my back porch in a pot year round. It has the best smelling roses but they only last a day in the heat. It's a great thing to walk out and see this beautiful yellow rose. The bugs on it called Love Bugs. They fly around attached to each other. They are a pain when your driving out on the open road, they get splattered all over your windshield! Hope you enjoy the rose!

Altered Cigar Box

Here is a cigar box I altered today. The embellishments are chipboard pieces that I painted then glued and glittered up. This was the easiest box yet!!! I just love the shape of it.

The box opens by graping that little piece of wood on top.

5 1/2"x 5 1/2" Scrapbook

This is a scrapbook I've been working on. I had to make it 5 1/2" instead of 6" because I bought a kit that had paper and embellishments in it and the size of the paper weren't exactly 12x12. I think it turned out pretty cute though. These are just a few of the pages.

Sew much fun altered cigar box.

I altered this cigar box using old vintage sewing patterns. I cut out one of the ladies from the front and glued her down to chipboard then mounted her with mounting tape. The box opens in the center which makes it pretty cool!

Some Justjohanna cards

Here are some cards I've made the past few days. I haven't had a lot of time in my craft room lately, I've been out of town then catching up on housework and other things. I hope to play more over the weekend!

Nail Polish Background

This is a card I made using the nail polish background

Supplies you need are a pan filled with water, white cardstock and nail polish.

After you've filled pan with water pour in your nail polish.

Lay your paper on top then take out.

This is what your paper looks like after you've removed it. You can more between sheets or you can just keep laying paper on top until all the color is picked up. This really is a fun technique to try. It makes very original paper for your projects!

This is how I spent my weekend

On Saturday I worked on this atc swap I'm in. It's a watermelon theme. These two stamps were sent to me by a friend(who is also hosting the swap) and I they just worked out perfect for this swap! I used dimensional glaze on the seeds then sprinkled black glitter. For the edges of the paper I just sprayed it with water then messed it up with my fingers.

On Sunday I decided I wanted to make my flower bed larger. There was a small in this spot when we moved in and it was really little. I measures and went and bought the bricks and soil and flowers. It took me about 4 hours but I'm very happy with it!

Altered Beer Bottle

A friend of ours brought over beer and it was in this cool bottle. I had to save them because I thought they were so neat. I used old vintage sewing patterns sent me by a friend to alter the bottle. The strange thing is when I put the glue on it kinda made the paper transparent. I thought when it dried it would lighten up some but it didn't. It looks kinda vintage in real life.

I'm all shook up!

This is a cigar box I altered. My friend Sherri from The Stamp Shack sent me this Elvis image and I just knew he needed to be a box! I printed I'm all shook up on my computer and put it on the inside of the lid.

Amaryllis in bloom!!!

I just love walking outside and seeing the giant beautiful flowers in bloom. I only wished they bloomed all summer. It's a once a year event and I guess that's part of the reason I love them so much! I never get tired of looking at them. I have some more on the other side of the tree that will be blooming any day now. They are red, I'm not sure which I like more the red or the pink and white ones. The other day on a walk I saw some in someone elses yard that were orange! I've never seen orange before. I might have to go in the night and digs hers up! LOL!! Only kidding!

Baby Boy Book

I made this little scrapbook. It's 4"X4". I used a total of 8 coaster's to make this book. Then used my Bind it all to bind it together.
