Christmas Ornaments

I made these ornaments for a swap I'm in. I took empty ribbon rolls and cut one ridge off. I then painted them with acrylic paint and decorated!!!! Didn't they turn out cute!!!!

Happy Halloween

I'm not one who usually does anything for halloween but I was sent this cute set of clear stamps and wanted to use them! I used distress inks for the background and a cottonball for the spiderweb in the corner!

Christmas Gift Tag

I made a set of 20. I used wadded up plastic baggie and dipped in my ink to do the background. It gives it a nice little pattern.

Going Nuts?

I just love this stamp set. I don't think I'll ever get tired of playing around with it!!!!

Halloween Garland

Got the idea from someone who posted this link over at the Stamp Shack. They used them for candy covers but I decided to turn them into garland!!!!! It was super easy too.

Texas!

Well since I'm a Texan I couldn't resist buying this stamp set!! It has alot of really good stamps and this card I made into a birthday card!

Well since I started working full-time it's hard to find time to post stuff! These are from some of my recent swaps. I promise to try harder to post more often!!!

A couple of swaps

This is for a swap I'm participating in. The hostess sent us all the same image then we had to make something with it. I altered it a bit. The hippo is suppose to have a bird on it's back and a tail but I decided she was cute without them!!!


This is for a swap I'm hosting. It's a time theme swap. I bought this clock stamp just for this swap!

Vegge out!

I made this atc for a surprise swap I hosted. I pop-dotted all the fruit to give it something extra.

Shoes, shoes, shoes!

I bought a new set of stamps yesterday and this shoe was part of them. Isn't it great!!! I made this card for a swap I'm hosting that's all about shoes!

Here's the scoop round two

Well it's sad to say but I had a flaker in the My Favorite Things Theme swap. I had to come up with another atc. This is what I came up with. I used distress ink and cut and dry foam to ink the edges of the image.

I've been published!!!!

This is soooo exciting!! I've been published in the September issue of Scrap & Stamp Arts Magazine!! This is the card that was published!!! Whoo-Hoo!!!

Skull

I made this for a skull themed swap I'm in over at the Stamp Shack. I stamped the skull onto white cardstock with clear embossing ink then sprinkled clear embossing powder over it. Then I used a black ink pad and ran across the top and took a paper towel and wiped the ink off of the skulls.

Distress Ink Tutorial

This is such a fun technique to play with that I thought I would show how easy it is to do! You can use any color combos to make stunning effects. Have fun playing!!!


The supplies you'll need is a Ranger craft sheet, three colors of distress ink, perfect pearls, a paint brush and a spray bottle of water.


First take your inks and press them directly onto your craft sheet. You can use as many or as few colors as you like. I like to use three.


Next you will dip your dry brush into some perfect pearls.

Then you will sprinkle the perfect pearls on top of your ink colors. You can see that here.

Next is to spray the inks and perfect pearls with water.

Now take your white cardstock and run through. You will need to press it and pick it up and look at it. Just keep running it through the colors you want to get the right effect.

This is what it will look like once you lift it up. Now wait for it to dry and have some fun playing with your beautiful work!!!

Distress Inks

I was playing around with my distress inks today. I made this atc using them. I took three colors of ink and put them onto my craft mat, then I sprinkles some perfect pearls on top and sprayed with water. I ran a regular piece of cardstock through it to pick up the color. Very easy and really dramatic effects!

A butterfly must forget

I copied the layout from pagemaps.com. I used shell pink alcohol ink for the background.

Flowers in abudance

This is a tin that Traci sent me. She said she didn't know what to do with it so I took it off her hands! LOL!! Anyway, I cut a piece of paper and stamped it then glued it to the inside then glued primaflowers to the lid.

Bird atc

This is another bird atc. I used purple twilight and raspberry alcohol inks for the background. I then did heat embossing on the edges and for the bird.

Birthday Wishes

After I finished my grape atc I needed to clean up my craft

sheet of the dried alcohol ink. I poured some blending solution on it then ran a clean piece of glossy cardstock through it until it was all soaked up. This is what it looked like! Just way to pretty to use but I thought it would make a great card!

This is a scrapbook page I did a couple of years ago. I made an entire scrapbook of Nathan and I growing up. Here I have put us at six years old on the same page. Most of the ages I have two separate pages but some I have stuck us together.

Everything's Grapes!

This grape atc is for my fruit themed swap. I used alcohol inks on the background then I put clear embossing powder over the grape image to make it shine!

I made this atc for a zoo/jungle theme swap over at the stamp shack. It was great because I got to use new paper and a stamp I had never used before!

Bird Theme

This is for a swap I'm hosting. The theme is birds and I have had this set of stamps for close to 7 months and haven't used them yet.

Birthday card

I bought this stamp from someone online a couple of months ago. I think it's just a great stamp! I colored the image using Bic Markers and Prismacolor pencils.

Western Theme

These are for a swap I'm hosting. The theme is western and I found these cute little cowboy boots and hat's at HL and knew I had to use them. The stamp set is from Clear Dollar Stamps. I used Bic Markers, Copic Marker and Prismacolor pencils to color it.

I made this recipe card for a swap I'm hosting over at the stamp shack. These are the best cookies ever!!! I make them for Christmas every year and every one always loves them!

I made this atc for a swap I hosted over at the Stamp Shack. I found this yummy paper at M's and didn't buy it at first because I didn't have a coupon. I went back a week later and they only had one pack left!!!! I'm glad I was able to get it. All of the paper in the pack is really great!!!

Baby Girl

I made this card for my SIL's baby shower that was today. The sides fold out. It really is a cute pattern!! I got the template from the stamp shack.

Baby bonnet

As some of you may know my brother is getting ready to have his first baby. She isn't even born yet and she is already spoiled!!!! This is a baby bonnet I just got finished knitting for her!!!!

Altered spice can challenge

I altered this little spice can and made it into a vase! The challenge was from Heather over at We Grow By Our Dreams. She sent the spice can so I could play along!

Baby picture frame

Since I like how my other one turned out I decided to make one for my soon to be niece!!! She is due March 10 and I'm so excited I can hardly wait!!! I really like how my frame turned out and I know it's going to look terrific once there is a picture of her in it!!

Valentines Day/Anniversary Gift

I made this frame today today to give to Nathan for V-Day/Anniversary Gift. I wanted it to be kinda manly so I figured I'd do it black and white. I hope the red ribbon doesn't make it look too girly. What do you think?
