More altered cigar boxes

Here a couple more boxes that I have made in the past couple of days. I found that this is really the easiest with this type of box. They take about two hours to finish but I think it is worth the time. They have turned out so cute. I also made four matching cards for each of the boxes. The blue box was made using Daisy D papers and the red one was made using various brands of papers.

Collage Box

This is how the box looked to start. It is a cigar box that opens in the middle. I have about 10 of these and find them a little difficult to work with because of how they open. It's hard to cut a piece of paper to match the lid perfectly so I did the next best thing!

I did a collage box. I just took a ton of different patterned paper and tore them into pieces. I then just started to randomly glue it on. I think it turned out pretty cute. I didn't put any other decorations on it because I think it is busy enough without them.

I also made matching cards. This will be one of the items I will sell at a craft fair.

Post-it-Note holders

I have been a busy little bee today. I made all these post-it-note holders. I think they are really cute and just so easy to make. I'm always up for making something fast and cute! Some of them I cut paper and glued onto the clip. They were black and not so pretty. I think the matching paperclip gives them a little added character! Each of them have a little pen on them too. I found most of the pens in the Target dollar spot. They were eight for a buck, can't beat a good bargain like that. I originally found the pens first a few months ago and didn't know what to do with them. I just knew I needed them because they were small and cute! Then I came across this idea and on a blog and said hmmmm, I can add a little pen to them so it worked out perfectly!

Post-it-note holder

These are some post-it-note holders I made. They were super easy and super fast. I just took a 4x4 coaster and glues a piece of patter paper to it. Then took the post-it-note pad and clipped it with the clip thing. Tied on some ribbon and clipped on a pen and voila! Easy peasy!

How I store my ribbon

This was a topic over at the Stamp Shack so I thought I'd just show you all too. Please excuse the mess though! I LOVE ribbon! I don't think you can ever have to much!!!

These are stackable containers that I got on clearance at Garden Ridge for a buck a piece. I should of bought more, but my brain wasn't working that day!!!They have a slot on each side for the ribbon the slide out.

Once I ran out of room in the clear stackables I bought some wooden rods and just stuff them on there and they are sitting on a shelf. I need a better place for them though.

This is all my ribbon I get from swaps and such. I have it all in a basket. It is very messy and I just dig through it when I'm looking for ribbon, which makes it even messier. I need a better way!

This was my first ribbon storage. I filled up very fast though!

Pictures from our Ozark vacation

Welch Spring and Historical Hospital. The building you see is only one wall of an old hospital. It was built by this spring because it was believed the water had medical qualities.

This is us canoeing the Current River.

Alley Mill; it produces 81 million gallons of water a day!

Alley Mill Spring. It's so pretty, crystal clear and blue! The water temp is about 48 in this spring.

Alley Mill; this is one of the spots the where the water flows from the spring.

This is just a roadside picture. The view was beautiful!

We went to the Ozarks for vacation. The ones that are in Missouri. It's such a beautiful place to visit. So relaxing and so much to see.

Baby Shower Centerpiece

Here is the centerpiece I made for the baby shower. They tableware pattern didn't have a centerpiece to match so I had to make one. It's not to hard to make, just get a few burned fingertips from the hot glue gun!
